Finance Controller

Are you a finance professional with strong analytical skills, a passion for data accuracy, and a drive to improve business performance? We are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to join our team in Cēsis and play a key role in shaping financial transparency, governance, and performance.

Timbro is a distinct and unique forestry technology company, bringing together 80 professionals with extensive experience in the fields of forestry, technology, and finance, gained through building and managing companies in Latvia and around the world.

What you'll do:

• Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for business units;
• Develop and maintain structures and processes to ensure the delivery of accurate financial information;
• Support cost control initiatives and monitor key KPIs;
• Prepare financial forecasts, including estimates, budgets, and ad-hoc reports, business case follow-up and financial analysis;
• Oversee daily financial operations including month-end closing and managerial reporting;
• Ensure compliance with group accounting principles and internal controlling policies;
• Participate in implementation of new financial processes and internal controls, collaboration with an outsourced IT team (project management role).

What we expect from you:

• Higher education in accounting / finance;
• Solid quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modelling and analysis;
• Experience showing ability to learn quickly and attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation;
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure and/or manufacturing would be treated as a benefit;
• Proficiency in MS Office, experience with ERP & CRM systems;
• Drivers licence (B category);
• Good knowledge of English and Latvian.
